Well where did this year go...................................

Our thoughts are now turning to those lovely days with the leaves changing colour and the patchwork which is our beautiful Peak District is mellowing in to the stunning warming hues of autumn!

Along with ever changing autumn landscape comes different events in Castleton - the Caverns now put their thoughts to 'Halloween'

(see individual Caverns for details) The Pubs and Shops also make a 'Spooky' effort for Halloween!!!!!!!!

Our thoughts also go as far as 'Christmas' and how Magical Castleton is at Christmas time  -

Our Lights will be switched on at 4.30pm  by a celebrity who will be starring in the Buxton Opera House production of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' also Gully Mouse from Gulliver's Kingdom will be around to meet you too!

This year 'Santa' will arrive by Pony and Carriage again - his arrival route will take him past the School Fayre and along the main street, and back again to his Home behind '1530 The Restaurant'

NEW this year a two day Festive Market will be held in the Market Place from 11am on 15th & 16th November for details see

And of couse the 'Spot Light' will be on Peveril Castle again
